Stripe

Stripe is a payment and transfer platform dedicated to online commerce.

Why use Stripe?

Stripe offers unparalleled simplicity. Joining the platform only takes a few minutes. Users can link it to their bank account. All they need is their bank account number, which makes it easier to carry out transactions in both directions.

There are no fees for creating a Stripe account. The platform is paid on the sales made. It only charges a small commission. This is equivalent to 1.4% of the amount of sales made plus €0.25 for people using European bank cards. Non-European card users pay a commission of 2.9% plus €0.25.

Stripe offers a free extension on many CMS and e-commerce platforms. To simplify the purchasing process, the tool stores the customer's credit card number without revealing it to the seller. Thus, to make recurring payments, they no longer need to enter their bank details. However, the platform does not ask the customer for their password. Stripe supports more than 130 currencies, making it usable in almost every country on the planet.

Overview of Stripe

Full description of the tool

Stripe is a virtual infrastructure that allows e-merchants to accept payments and make transfers on a global scale. With millions of users (businesses and individuals) around the world, the tool is accessible from its website. To make it easier for users, its developers are also creating a software version for PCs and an application for mobile phones.

In addition to simplifying the online payment process, Stripe meets the needs of all types of businesses. In addition, the platform contributes to the fight against tax fraud. It offers companies innovative solutions that can facilitate their various financial operations.

Our opinion

After testing it over a long period of time, it is safe to say that Stripe is an excellent payment solution. First of all, it offers a rate that is in the same bracket as its competitors. Moreover, the transactions made through the platform benefit from a very high level of security.

Stripe is a very functional tool. However, it has a few drawbacks that do not affect its performance at all. The back office of the tool, for example, is presented entirely and solely in English. This can make life difficult for users who are not fluent in English. Payment by cheque is not integrated into the platform. As a result, the user has to integrate it manually.
